Nicola is a registered psychotherapist with memberships to both the Australian Counselling Association (ACA Level 2) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Nicola specialises in working with relationships. She is drawn to this work because she has a passion for understanding the patterns in relationships that prevent growth and block connection. Whether that be partners who are experiencing difficulties due to personal conflicts, life events, or transitions, Nicola seeks to understand all parties and to assist in strengthening their connection.

As a therapist, Nicola is guided by the principles of non-judgement and unconditional positive regard. She provides a calm and humanistic approach to helping her clients to work towards healthier relationships with themselves and the important people in their lives. Her warm and safe presence is reassuring and grounding for her clients who comment on how held they feel by Nicola.

Nicola has a postgraduate Diploma in Education (Guidance) and trained in Palo Alto California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) graduating with a Master of Arts in Transpersonal Psychology. She gained clinical experience at the Heidelberg University Clinic in Germany as a research associate conducting diagnostic screening and providing counselling support to perinatal refugees. She completed specialised relationship therapy training with Relationships Australia and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with BCEFT. Nicola is working towards her certification with the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) as an EFT therapist, which includes ongoing professional development and supervision. This is something that Nicola is committed to in her practice.
