Roz Hurst is an endorsed clinical psychologist trained to treat specific psychological conditions ranging from relatively minor, every-day issues through to more complex mental health conditions. On a foundation of life experience, Roz has worked across a diverse range of clinical settings in the public and private sectors including not-for-profit mental health services, within a regional base hospital, and in a variety of private practice settings. Roz works with individuals across the adult life-span. Roz’s approach to treatment is warm, client-centered, respectful, and tailored to the individual needs of her clients. She will work collaboratively with you to help you to reach your treatment goals. Together, Roz will assist you to work towards what matters to you most using the tools that are most helpful to you. Roz has extensive training in evidenced-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, EFIT (Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy), EEMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), and brain-based therapies (including working with mindfulness and neuroplasticity). She is also trained in the Richards Trauma Process which, along with EMDR, assists people in the recovery from traumatic events.
